Plant hydraulics and phenology : from ecophysiology to remote sensing

We are excited to continue the PSIhub workshop series in 2026 with a workshop in Montpellier (from 2 to 4 December).

The theme will be  the links between plant hydraulics and phenology: from ecophysiology to remote sensing with the following planned sessions:

  • Ecophysiology and ecosystem functioning
    • Under which conditions is plant hydraulic functioning a predictor of leaf senescence?
    • Integrating hydraulics and phenology into ecosystem functioning models.
  • Functional and community ecology
    • Integrating phenology into plant economic strategies and trait-based ecology.
    • How do hydraulic and phenological strategies jointly shape species performance and distribution ?
  • Characterizing phenology and water status from leaves to ecosystems
    • High-throughput phenotyping and remote sensing of phenological dynamics.
    • Scaling from leaf-level measurements to ecosystem observations.

The complete schedule of presentations will be available shortly.
